Publishing Process

The publishing process of CORES (Coaching Research & Sport Education Studies) is designed to ensure the highest academic quality, transparency, and fairness. Every manuscript submitted will undergo the following stages:

1. Submission

  • Authors must submit manuscripts via the Open Journal System (OJS) at CORES.
  • The manuscript must comply with the journal’s formatting guidelines and ethical standards.

2. Initial Screening (Editorial Office)

  • The Editorial Team conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure the manuscript meets journal scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Manuscripts are screened using Turnitinto detect plagiarism. Papers with a similarity index above the acceptable threshold will be immediately rejected

    3. Peer Review (Double-Blind Review)

    • Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewersunder a double-blind system (the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential).
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field.
    • The review process normally takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and responsiveness.

    4. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief decides one of the following outcomes:

    • Accepted without revision
    • Minor revision required
    • Major revision required
    • Rejected

    5. Revision Stage

    • The revised manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary.

    6. Final Decision and Copyediting

    • After the final acceptance, the manuscript undergoes professional copyediting, proofreading, and formattingto ensure consistency with CORES standards.
    • Authors will be asked to approve the final version before publication.
