Journal of Coaching and Sports Science (CORES) is a peer-reviewed academic journal. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publishing process: authors, editors, reviewers, the Editorial Board, and the Published CV.   1. Publication Ethics

Articles published in CORES contribute to building a coherent and respected body of knowledge in coaching and sports science. The integrity of the scientific record depends on the honesty and professionalism of all parties involved. Authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers are therefore expected to uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior.

The publisher, CV. Yayasan Mutiara Hati Moeslem, acts as the custodian of all stages of publication and ensures that advertising or commercial revenue does not influence editorial decisions.

  1. Research Misconduct and Allegations

Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to: fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, and plagiarism.

  • Manuscripts found to contain such misconduct will be rejected.
  • If violations are discovered post-publication, the article may be retracted or corrected following COPE procedures.
  • Allegations will be investigated fairly by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board. Authors will be allowed to respond, and institutions may be involved when necessary.
  1. Duties of Editors
  • Publication Decisions: Editors decide which articles to publish, guided by peer review and legal requirements (defamation, copyright, plagiarism).
  • Fair Play:Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual merit without discrimination.
  • Confidentiality:Editors and staff must not disclose information about submissions except to authors, reviewers, or Editorial Board members.
  • Conflict of Interest:Editors must not use unpublished materials for personal research without author consent.
  1. Duties of Reviewers
  • Contribution to Decisions:Peer reviewers assist editors in evaluating manuscripts and improving quality.
  • Objectivity:Reviews must be conducted impartially, with constructive feedback.
  • Confidentiality:Manuscripts are confidential documents and must not be shared.
  • Acknowledgment of Sources:Reviewers should point out relevant uncited work and report any similarities with other publications.
  • Conflict of Interest:Reviewers must decline assignments where conflicts exist.
  1. Duties of Authors
  • Reporting Standards:Authors must present accurate data and sufficient detail for replication.
  • Originality and Plagiarism:Only original work is accepted; all sources must be properly cited.
  • Multiple Publications:Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal simultaneously.
  • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who contributed significantly. All co-authors must approve the final manuscript.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts:All financial or personal conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
  • Corrections and Retractions: Authors must promptly inform the journal of significant errors.
