Author Guidelines

General Information

  • Manuscripts must be original and have not been published previously in any scientific journal. Submissions should not be under consideration elsewhere, and they must not be submitted to another journal during the review process, unless officially withdrawn from CORES: Coaching Research & Sport Education Studies.
  • Authors are required to submit a Statement of Originality and Copyright Release Form (Form A) along with their manuscript.
  • To prevent plagiarism, CORES uses Similarity Check powered by Turnitin.
  • Manuscripts submitted should not have any conflict with bioethical research standards.
  • The journal is published twice a year (July and December).

 

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Language & Format
    • Manuscripts must be written in English using standard scientific language. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek professional editing before submission.
    • The manuscript should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format. Graphs should be made using Microsoft Excel, while figures should be in JPEG or PDF format.
  2. Structure & Length
    • Manuscripts should be 9–15 pages in length, typed on A4 paper with the following margins: top 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 2 cm, bottom 2 cm.
    • Font: Cambria, 11 pt, single-spaced, single-column format (except for abstracts, tables, or figures requiring wider space).
    • The manuscript should contain the following sections:
      • Title
      • Author (s) Name (s), Affiliation (s), and Email (s)
      • Abstract (in English, containing objectives, methods, and findings)
      • Keywords (3–5 words/phrases)
      • Introduction
      • Methods
      • Results and Discussion
      • Conclusion and Suggestions
      • Acknowledgments (if any)
      • References
  3. Referencing
    • References must follow the APA 7th Edition style.
    • At least 70% of references should be from journal articles published within the last five years.
  4. Reporting Guidelines (if applicable)
    • Authors are encouraged to use standardized reporting guidelines:
      • STROBE for observational studies
      • SRQR for qualitative studies
      • PRISMA for systematic reviews
      • CARE for case reports
      • CONSORT for clinical trials

 

Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must follow the official CORES template.
  • Submissions are made online via the Open Journal System (OJS). Authors must first register an account [REGISTER] or log in if already registered [LOG IN].
  • During submission, the corresponding author must complete all author information in the metadata form, including email, affiliation, and a short biography for each author (in the “Bio Statement” column). For multi-author manuscripts, click ‘Add Author’ in Step 3 of the submission process to enter each co-author’s details.
  • All correspondence, review decisions, and editorial communication will be sent via the email provided during submission. Authors can also track the manuscript status through the OJS account.
