Author Guidelines
Bakti Insani: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan is a journal published every six months, namely in May and November. This journal is published by the Yayasan Mutiara Hati Moeslem Lamongan which is approved by the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia with Number AHU-0002217.AH.01.04.Tahun 2023. This Bakti Insani: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan focuses on the issue of fields of Community Education, Literacy Appropriate Technology, Village Innovation, Public Health and Nutrition Social, Cultural, Religious, Creative Economy, MSMEs, and Entrepreneurship
Environment, Disaster Mitigation, Community Empowerment and Gender, Law, Human Rights, Public Advocacy, Digitalization of Public Services, Technology Literacy, Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture.
GENERAL GUIDE
- All manuscripts must be submitted through Bakti Insani: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Online Submission E-Journal Portal (https://journal.mutiarahatimoeslem.id/index.php/abdipantura) in the form of docx.
- The author submitting a manuscript does have an understanding that if the corresponding paper is accepted, then the copyright will be assigned to Bakti Insani: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan, and to Yayasan Mutiara Hati Moeslem Lamongan as the publisher of the journal. To do so, we obliged the author to submit the signed Ethics Statement, Authorship Agreement, and Copyright Statementform (we expect the author to download the document and then scan and send it after signing to the journal email address at ([email protected])
- The article is original, guaranteed by the writer, and not published in other journals/proceedings.
- The statement's contribution toward developing science and technology is based on the new findings/ideas/opinions prioritizing the current primary references in the last ten years. We expect the author to state the novelty clearly within the introductory section. (e.g. there are few numbers of research….; the novelty of this research…; etc.)
- The article is an empirical study. The sharpness of critical analysis and synthesis is prioritized.
- The article is written according to the rule of the journal Bakti Insani: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan, and an editorial team reserves the right to revise the writing style with a note that it does not change the intent and quality of the article.
- The review process is conducted in a double-blind review process with the peer group system, which is reinforced by the qualified reviewers in their field.
- Results of the assessment possibilities articles can be: Accepted with minor revisions, Received with major revisions, Suggested sent to another appropriate journal, or Rejected.
SPECIAL GUIDE
A. The Writing Guidance
- The article is well-written in Indonesia or English, with a typed single space for the content, and references. Written in font Palatino Linotype 12pt size, the paragraph indent is 1cm. and 10pt for the abstract.
- The paper size is A4, and one column and the page setup have a top margin of 3 cm, a bottom margin of 2 cm, a left margin of 2 cm, and a right margin of 2 cm.
- The font size for the title is Palatino Linotype 14pt; it is lowercased, bolded, Align Left, Capitaslize Each Word, and has a maximum of 15 words.
- After the title, it is followed by the author (without the title). It is Palatino Linotype 10pt, capitalized each word, bolded, and left-justified.
- Under the author, it is the institution and the corespondent email at Palatino Linotype 10 pt, capitalized each word, without bolded and left-justified—for example, Yayasan Mutiara Hati Moeslem of Lamongan, Indonesia.
- The font size for the sub-part in the article is Palatino Linotype 11pt, capitalized each word, bolded and left justified and without any bullet and numbering.
- The total words range from 4.500 - 6.000, including the references.
- Table. Table title is placed on the table with left justified.
B. The Article Systematic
The article systematically includes the title, the identity of the author (without a title), abstract, keywords, introduction (without sub-sections), method, result and discussion, conclusion, and references. Discuss the literature review and previous studies included in the introduction, result, and analysis.
C. The Article Format
- Title. Title. The title must be attractive, specific, and informative, which is measured by directness in writing.
- The author's identity. The author's identity. It includes the author’s name (without the title), the institution (The name of the study program, the name of the faculty, the name of the university, and the name of the country), and the email address.
- Abstract. It is written in about 250 words. The abstract should include the purpose of the research, data/object of study, method, result, and the research implications.
- Keywords. Abstract. It is written in about 250 words of Indonesia and English. The abstract should include the purpose of the research, data/object of study, method, result, and the research implications. The keywords should be written in Indonesia and English. Keywords should be chosen carefully and can reflect the concepts/variables contained in the article, with some three to five keywords
- Introduction. It is written in the form of a paragraph. In writing the introduction, please at least meet the following requirements: Paragraph 1: Presents general and global problems supported by reference sources from articles, books, government websites or official world organizations; Paragraph 2: Presents partner problems supported by reference sources from journals, news, or interviews; Paragraph 3: Presents GAP and NOVELTY from the activity. (This section is in the form of a statement sentence from the author and does not require references); Paragraph 4: Contains sentences on the purpose of the activity and urgency or can also be hopes. In the problem section, the partner's problems are explained in detail, issues, challenges, or needs of the community/partners that are factual and actual. Furthermore, the problems, issues, or basic needs in the community/partners are explained in relation to the activity targets.
- Method. In the method section, the method used to solve the problem, challenge, or issue is described. In this case, one type of method or a combination of several types of methods can be used. Furthermore, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques, location, time, and duration of activities are explained.
- Result and Discussion. The Result and discussion contains findings during community service. It is not a report on community service activities. Please discuss the findings using references from primary sources from journals. The discussion section explains and explains the terminology or models (for services, new skills, and socio-cultural engineering), dimensions and specifications (for goods/equipment) that are the outputs or main focus of activities used as solutions provided to the community, both directly and indirectly. Also included is documentation that is relevant to services or goods as the output or main focus of Community Service activities (photos, tables, graphs, charts, images, etc.). Then it explains the advantages and disadvantages of the output or main focus of the activity when viewed in accordance with the conditions of the community at the Community Service activity location. It ends with an explanation of the level of difficulty in implementing activities (training, mediation and consultation, education and advocacy) as well as production of goods, and their opportunities.
- Conclusion. In the conclusion section, the level of achievement of the activity targets in the field, the accuracy or suitability between the problems/issues and the needs/challenges faced, with the methods applied are stated. In addition, the impact and benefits of the activities that have been implemented are also explained. This section ends with recommendations for the next PKM activity. Writing a conclusion consists of only 1 paragraph.
- References. The reference uses APA Citation Style—the degree of sophistication of materials referred to in 10 years. The references are expected to be 80% of the primary sources from national and international journals. Writing citations referenced in the script should use a reference application (reference manager) such as Mendeley, Endnote, or Zotero.
